eDemocracy 2011

7th ICGS3 / 4th e-Democracy Joint Conferences

  • Hosted by: University of Macedonia, Department of Applied Informatics Thessaloniki, Greece
  • Date: 24th, 25th and 26th of August 2011
  • Venue: Capsis Hotel, Thessaloniki, Greece

The joint conferences proceedings will be published from Springer

In an era of unprecedented volatile, political and economic environment across the world, computer based systems face ever more increasing challenges, disputes and responsibilities. Their role in facilitating secure economic transactions and maintaining steady and reliable sources of information that support politically stable and sustainable socio-economic systems is becoming increasingly critical. Under such spectrum of issues, the organizers proceed with the joint hosting of the 7th International Conference on Global Security, Safety and Sustainability and the 4th Conference on e-Democracy.

The University of Macedonia as host joins forces with the University of East London and the Scientific Council for Information Society of Greece to bring together their experiences in gathering the scientific and professional bodies behind the two conferences in a single event for the first time in their history in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2011.

It is the belief of the joint programme committee that the coverage of a wider spectrum of related topics provided an enhanced incentive for academic debate and sharply focused critical evaluation of results of innovative applications of methodologies and applied technologies presented.
